Upton Country Park, Upton, Poole, Dorset, BH17 7BJ, United KingdomView map

Explore the natural riches nestled within the urban side of Poole Harbour with our series of urban guided walks. Situated at the most northern fringes of the harbour, the large tidal bay is a bustling winter birding site, supporting several hundred Teal and Wigeon and Black-tailed Godwit, as well as smaller flocks of Avocet, Dunlin, Redshank and Oystercatcher. Join our team to explore these productive shorelines and learn about some of our more unfamiliar winter visitors.

Booking essential. Meet in the Upton Country Park car park, ten minutes before the advertised start time. Car parking charges apply. Walk type moderate to easy with fully accessible route for motorised wheelchairs and trampers. Our guided walks are organised and planned in accordance with the current government guidelines at the time of each event. All events are subject to change or cancellation should advice change. We kindly ask all guests to adhere to relevant social distancing guidelines during the event and to respect other guests space and welfare.

Our team at Birds of Poole Harbour really enjoy running our free guided walks around Poole Town and the Harbour. By making a donation to the charity you will help us to continue to run these free events. You can add a donation when you checkout or by visiting our donate page.
