Are you new to birding or want to improve and build on a growing interest in Poole Harbours amazing bird life? Poole Harbour is an incredibly special place in winter with c25,000 waders and waterfowl plus many other species that take refuge here during the colder months. Divers, grebes, scarce sea duck and waders all make use of the sheltered bays and estuarine systems and it’s these areas we’ll explore during our course, providing you with all the information and ID techniques you’ll need to approach your bird ID with a whole new mind set.

Our 4 hour course will see us explore the Studland Peninsular learning about the best sites to look for some of the harbour most important species learning about calls, plumage ID and behaviour.

Only 10 attendees per course allowing for a more intimate approach to bird ID. Decent spec binoculars will also be available to borrow for participants that don't own any or wish to use a higher spec pair than their own.
