Important update - Waiting List:

We may be releasing additional dates of Purbeck Seabird and Puffin Cruises in response to their popularity. However, because of the changeability of the weather, these events will be published until 3-5 days before the day of sailing to ensure the trips can go ahead successfully. Please sign up to the waiting list below if you would like to be notified when these trips are advertised, so that you can then then book your tickets online.

These 3-hour cruises will run in evenings between May and June 2024.

This summer welcomes the return of our Seabird & Puffin Cruises along the Purbeck coast. Although not renowned for its breeding seabirds, this stretch of Jurassic Coastline supports an increasingly fragile Puffin population, along with nesting Guillemot, Razorbill, Kittiwake, Fulmar, Peregrine and more. Our three-hour cruises depart from Poole Quay for an evening charter, leaving the harbour behind and heading south along the coast past the iconic Old Harry Rocks chalk formations to Dancing Ledge in search of auks as they settle on the water to preen before returning to the cliff ledges. Join us to learn all about this dramatic coastline, its history and the birdlife it supports, then on the return journey we’ll time our arrival back into the harbour so that the the early summer sunset draws a perfect ending to our trip.

Important Information - Please Read Before Booking: Due to the nature of these trips our Purbeck Seabird and Puffin Cruises are highly weather dependent, with wind speed and direction in the days leading up to and on the day of the event impacting the sea state.  Although every effort will be made to visit the Puffin colony, if conditions for leaving the harbour are unsafe, the cruise will instead run as a harbour Sunset Safari with the opportunity to view the vast array of wildlife active at dusk, including White-tailed Eagle, Marsh Harrier and Osprey. Please note that this decision may be made at any point prior to the boat's departure and there will not be the option to receive a refund for your booking at the point of this decision (excluding under the circumstances outlined in our terms and conditions.)
